What I’ve Been Playing – September 2019

Right now I’m replaying Pokemon Y, this time with EXP Share turned off to make it more of a challenge.  I completely forgot how awesome the X/Y games were!  It makes me excited to have seen the in depth footage from the Nintendo Direct about Pokemon Sword/Shield.  The new game looks amazing and like a lot of work was put into it.  The character customization options looks great too. I really wasn’t a fan of Sun/Moon so I’m ready for a new adventure!

I’m continuing to play Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, 57% completion as of now.  I took some time off from playing games when I wasn’t doing well so I’m not as far as I probably would have been by now.  Still love it and am amazed with all the different areas and crafting abilities.  It’s really an underrated game.

The 3rd game I’m playing is Assassins Creed III.  I had never played any of the Assassins Creed games before and got a couple from my brother in-law when he gave me his old Xbox 360 so I thought I’d give them a try.  I’m really enjoying it so far, it seems like it will be a lot of fun.  The only thing I don’t like is that it takes awhile before you’re able to free roam and explore but other than that I like it very much.

Nintendo Switch Lite and Other Game Stuff

So Nintendo announced and showed the Switch Lite, which will be released September 20th, 2019.  I own the main system but will probably get a Lite as well.  They come in 3 different colors, yellow, grey, and turquoise.  There’s also an exclusive Pokemon Sword and Shield version coming out.  These are basically a trimmed down version of the Switch for a cheaper price, $200.  It’s more portable and sleeker so easy to use on the go.  Also, it doesn’t have the ability to be docked or connected/played on the TV.  It’s handheld only, which I think is actually nice.  Of course, having that ability on the main switch is awesome but there are many people who prefer to game solely in handheld mode.  I tend to mainly use mine in handhold.  It’s a great option for people wanting to play on the Switch but can’t afford or don’t want to pay the $300 for the  main system.

I’m still playing Animal Crossing New Leaf and trying to finish paying off my home loan, it’s taking quite awhile.  I legitimately just found out you can stack fruit into baskets and I’ve been playing the game for around 2 years!  How I missed that is beyond me.  I was so happy to find out because I like selling fruit since there’s a lot in my town but it was tedious the way I was doing it before.

Also continuing playing Yonder : The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, at 39% completion so far. It’s so much fun to explore and is a great game, it deserves more recognition.

Going through Pokemon Let’s Go and making sure I beat all the coach trainers, and worming on beating all the master trainers.  So far I’ve just got the title of Pikachu Master. Still need to catch Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. Oh yeah, I bought the crown accessory for my Pikachu .  $999,999 Pokedollars and completely unnecessary but why not! lol

I’m getting a mouse for my laptop.  I got 2 games for my PC recently (Assassins Creed: Unity and The Sims 4) and know nothing about gaming on a computer, the controls are completely unfamiliar to me.  I think having a mouse will make things quite a bit easier.

There are so many great games coming out within the next year and I’m excited play them and for my collection to grow.

Thanks for reading!

Random Post/Playing with My Camera

Have been having fun with my digital camera lately.  I still use my 3DS despite having a Nintendo Switch, it has a wonderful library of games available too so I will keep on playing it.  The one I have is the Galaxy New Nintendo 3DS XL.

The Arkham Horror thing is a living card game one of my friends got me into, I finally have a desk set up so I can play.

The Animal Drawing book I got for $2 at a used bookstore the other day, really can’t beat that!  I love going there, they have such a huge variety of books for awesome prices.  Hopefully it will help guide me in my drawings.

Of course Pikachu is there, huge Pokemon fan, have been since I was a little kid and probably will be till the day I die!

Update: Missing Inspiration

I’ve been very exhausted during the day, so much that I fall asleep for an hour or so by the mid-morning/afternoon, so I spoke to my pharmacist about switching one of my medications to night time and she said that was okay, so I’ll be trying that out tomorrow, hoping that helps!  I’ve been quite unmotivated lately, which I’m trying to work on.  Was feeling depressed for awhile but I seem to be doing better in that regard the past few days.  Did some yoga and drew a picture earlier.  Need to take some walks during the weekend.  It’s going to rain and I’m very happy about that, not a fan of hot weather.  I prefer rain or snow actually, something about summer frustrates me.  I think it’s because there’s so many people out and about, makes me very anxious.  I like the calm feeling of rainy days and the quietness of winter.

I’m trying to find how to get my inspiration back, I used to be inspired easily to write, draw, and do other projects. It’s like I’m missing the spark I used to have.  Anyone have any tips?

Really have been getting back into gaming.  Lately I’ve been playing Story of Seasons: A Trio of Towns.  It’s very relaxing and fun.  Also have been messing around on the Sims 4, making weird characters. I am really looking forward to E3 and hopefully finding out news about the new Animal Crossing game, there’s been no details released even though they announced it a long time ago.

Caught Zapdos today on Lets Go Pikachu!

Games – Lets Go Pikachu!

So I finally bought a Nintendo Switch last month, and I absolutely love it!  I really like that it can be played either in handheld or on the TV, even though I mostly use handheld it’s a nice options and fun to see Nintendo games on the big screen again.

The game I’ve been playing most recently is Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu!

I love it!  I never actually got a chance to play the original Pokemon Yellow since I didn’t really get into the gaming aspect of Pokemon until the third generation of games (Ruby/Sapphire, Fire Red/Leaf Green) so it’s a fresh experience for me.

I like that wild Pokemon are visible, while I do enjoy the random encounters of past games I feel more motivated to catch Pokemon in this mode.  It’s really neat seeing them all walking around!

I just received my 7th badge and am about to take on Viridian City gym.

Here are some screenshots from my game 🙂

Hello, another random update

Pokémon Sword and Shield for the Nintendo Switch was announced yesterday! I’m so excited, the graphics and locations look phenomenal in the video from the Nintendo Direct. I’m not sure which one I’ll be getting, it won’t be out till December 31st, 2019 but it’s available for pre-order already. I’m finally getting a Switch in a few weeks! Can’t wait 😃

It snowed a few inches last night so I took the above picture. I love pine trees, they’re beautiful, especially covered in snow ❄️

So, I’m trying to improve my concentration, it’s been terrible lately. I know the only way it’s going to get better is if I work on it consistently. I watch a movie or even show and pause them like 15 times throughout and do other things. It’s taken me over 2 months to get three quarters through a book that normally would have taken me a few days to a week max.
