Back

Hey, I apologize about the lack of posts this month, was having internet connectivity issues. But it seems to be working fine now so I thought I’d update everyone.

Things are going very well in terms of mental health with the med changes.  No voices or paranoia, no manic or depressive episodes.  I’m very stable on my current meds.  The only issue I’ve been dealing with lately is panic attacks, really bad ones.  After a week of them I didn’t have one today, yay!  So I’m hoping that’s improving as well.

I’m waiting to hear back on some paperwork I’m getting reviewed for something regarding college.  I should know something within the next 2 weeks.

I’m very excited about the holidays!  Really into the spirit this year.  🙂

Here’s a few drawings I’ve done in the past couple of days with the help of the book “How to Draw Cool Stuff” by Catherine V. Holmes

Summer Thoughts and a Sketch

Haven’t posted in a bit because of internet connection issues but it seems to be working a little better now.

Life has been going well, I’m just ready for summer to end.  It’s been extremely hot and I hate summer anyway, fall and winter are my time of year.  Love snow, ice, really cold temps.  Maybe I’m weird lol

Anyway, I’ve been drawing quite often and wanted to share one of my recent sketches

Drawing more frequently has been helping me improve, at least from what I can tell when I look through my sketchbooks at older drawings.

I’m interested in trying out some pastels I have, I’ve never really worked with them much but it seems like it would be fun.

Also have been getting interesting in crafts lately.  I’d like to make some of that slime stuff that’s so popular and maybe some clay as well.

I’m thinking of doing some more videogame themed posts here and also book reviews because I read so much.  I’ve been having a hard time lately with motivation and inspiration for posts to make.

Thanks for reading!

Distractions

Good afternoon!

Here’s a recent Animal Crossing drawing

I’ve often been distracting myself from my anxiety

Right now I’m reading a book called Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh Brothers by Deborah Heiligman.  It’s very interesting on multiple levels.  One being how much I love art and Vincent’s paintings, especially Cafe Terrace at Night.  The other being Vincent’s struggle with mental illness, it’s interesting to read and look at his paintings, the brighter pallet (especially the color yellow) and multitude of work when he was manic and the darker when depressed.

I’m playing Yonder still on my Nintendo Switch.  Getting further along, just 29% complete so far but I’m enjoying every moment.  I always put my beyerdynamic headphones on when playing, the background music is relaxing and perfect for the different environments.  I’m also playing Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 on my 360, it’s making me want to reread the series again for the millionth time!

Have gone out to eat a couple times the past week, normally I’m too anxious to do that but I’ve been able to handle it.
